JOB DESCRIPTION

Headquartered in Singapore, ASCENT Group is an Independent Global Fund Administrator that provides a full range of fund administration services for Alternative funds such as Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital, Crypto Funds, VCC, Retail Estate Funds, etc., which include reviewing fund constitutional documents from an operational perspective, help setting up the structure, providing tax and accounting services for the funds including financial preparation and calculation of net asset value. We also provide investor services for the funds that include KYC review, onboarding, calculation of return, and distribution of statements. All books and records are maintained on a robust integrated platform. ASCENT Fund Services is one of the fastest-growing companies in the fund admin space with 9 offices in APAC and counting.

FUNCTIONS

As a core member of our Fund Accounting team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.

Fund Accounting Team

• Ensure that necessary controls are in place and adhered to provide complete, accurate and timely fund administration services to our clients as per the company policy.
• Your role will encompass all facets of the calculation of net asset values on a variety of complex. hedge funds, AIF, private equity etc.
• Working closely with the Senior Fund Accountants /Fund Accountants/ Client Services Manager. to manage timelines, workflows, and deliverables within agreed SLA’s
• Meeting expectations of clients & fund participants, adhering to deadlines.
• Implementation of fund structures onto accounting systems.
• Review and ensure accuracy of daily / weekly / monthly NAVs valuation of funds.
• You will be responsible for the oversight of fund administrators and assigned clients.
• Experience dealing with complex P&L allocations across entities within an overall structure.
• Strong understanding of fund expenses and experience dealing with various types of management/performance fees structure.
• Review and ensure quality checks are done in accordance with the operating procedures before releasing any NAV to the client.
• Ensure effective task allocation and delegation across your team.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage team capacity to support new business.
• Utilize offshore operational centers for the appropriate tasks within your group.
• Management oversight of the Audit process and delivery for your group within client agreed timeframe.
• Ensure effective communication with colleagues and corresponding departments.
• Ensure management of the Outsourcing relationships (OSP) are closely managed.
• Involvement in various project and product offering development and all other adhoc requirement from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance related area and/or studying for a professional accounting (or comparable) qualification.
• Highly analytical with a keen understanding of business processes, accounting, and allocation systems.
• 10-12 years of relevant experience in Financial Services and/ or hedge fund industry.
• Additional experience in private equity/real estate structures and handling capital calls/waterfall models will be an added advantage.
• Should demonstrate leadership experience coupled with superior communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel & PowerPoint) and Outlook.
• You have 5+ years formal people management/ leadership experience.
• Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time.
• Good Management skill, analytical mind, self-initiative and well organized.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high demand environment.
• Proven track record of developing/motivating individuals and teams.
