About This Role
As Client Services Manager – Fund Solutions, you will manage key client relationships and oversee the delivery of fund administration services for hedge fund and private equity clients. Acting as the main point of contact for U.S. clients, you will ensure exceptional service delivery while partnering closely with global teams to resolve issues and drive process improvements.
This role is ideal for a fund administration professional seeking leadership responsibility in a growing U.S. office within a global platform. You will report to the Head of Client Services (or equivalent).
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of U.S.-based fund clients.
- Understand client strategies and business needs; ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Negotiate and manage SLAs; monitor performance against them.
- Lead client meetings, operational due diligence reviews, and board presentations.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee NAV reviews, financial reporting, and other deliverables for accuracy and timeliness.
- Partner with global Operations teams to resolve client issues and drive process improvements.
- Support fund launches and client onboarding, coordinating across internal functions.
Business Growth & Commercial Management
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell Ascent’s fund administration solutions.
- Monitor client profitability and accounts receivable; address negative trends proactively.
- Assist Client Services leadership with client presentations and new-business pitches.
Leadership & Team Support
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members in the U.S. office.
- Contribute to global best practices and collaboration across regional teams.
- Help establish the U.S. client service function as a scalable, high-performing team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in fund administration, financial services, or hedge/private equity, with at least 2 years in a client-facing leadership role.
- Minimum 2 years of fund accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. fund structures, industry regulations, and investor servicing requirements.
- Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and deliver operational excellence.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with fund accounting systems.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities under pressure.
Preferred Experience
- CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification.
- Prior experience leading U.S. client portfolios.
