JOB DESCRIPTION
Headquartered in Singapore, ASCENT Group is an Independent Global Fund Administrator that provides a full range of fund administration services for Alternative funds such as Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital, Crypto Funds, VCC, Retail Estate Funds, etc., which include reviewing fund constitutional documents from an operational perspective, help setting up the structure, providing tax and accounting services for the funds including financial preparation and calculation of net asset value. We also provide investor services for the funds that include KYC review, onboarding, calculation of return, and distribution of statements. All books and records are maintained on a robust integrated platform. ASCENT Fund Services is one of the fastest-growing companies in the fund admin space with 9 offices in APAC and counting.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of hedge funds and will strive to be a one point contact to investment managers and funds’ investors. To carry out these duties, the successful applicant will lead a team of senior fund accountants and fund accountants to deliver timely and accurate fund administration services to our fund clients.
Assistant Vice President – Fund Accounting
FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Vice President or equivalent, you will be responsible for:
- Ensure that necessary controls are in place and adhered to provide complete, accurate and timely fund administration services to our clients.
- Review and ensure accuracy of daily / weekly / monthly NAV valuation of client funds.
- Ensure reporting deliverables are met at the highest accuracy and timely manner.
- Monitor accuracy of fund expenses (management fee, performance fee etc.).
- Review funds’ share registry dealing orders and ensure all are processed in high accuracy and timely manner.
- Perform AML checks for investors.
- Review, manage and liaise with auditors for audits of client funds.
- Assist in pre-launch phase of new client fund vehicles; launching of new fund and review operational procedure. Supervision and training and recruitment of accounting staff.
- Review of fund’s offering document.
- Ensure all work complies with fund’s document, adhering to regulatory requirement and anti-money laundering regulations.
- Delegates and control work allocation with the team.

REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Member of ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
- Minimum 7- 10 years of relevant work experience in fund administration industry and at least 3 years of experience in managerial role.
- Good communications, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written English skills are a must, proficiency in Mandarin will be an advantage.
- Must have knowledge of general accounting and reconciliation practices and procedures.
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task and priorities to deliver on time.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Proficient in using PFS-Paxus will be an advantage.
- Having knowledge of transfer agency services, FATCA and CRS will be an advantage.
- Proficient in using PFS-Paxus will be an advantage University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
