Headquartered in Singapore, ASCENT Group is an Independent Global Fund Administrator that provides a full range of fund administration services for Alternative funds such as Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital, Crypto Funds, VCC, Retail Estate Funds, etc., which include reviewing fund constitutional documents from an operational perspective, help setting up the structure, providing tax and accounting services for the funds including financial preparation and calculation of net asset value. We also provide investor services for the funds that include KYC review, onboarding, calculation of return, and distribution of statements. Assistant Vice President – Private Equity Fund Accounting
FUNCTIONS
As a core member of our Private Equity team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.
Fund Accounting Team
- Review and sign off the NAV of the Private Equity Funds that include recording Journal Entries, preparing monthly/Quarterly/Annual Financials, reviewing investor notices, and completing various client reporting.
- Review Capital Call and distribution workings along with notices and release to respective investors.
- Reviewing the calculation catchup, waterfall, and equalization numbers for Private Equity Structures.
- Understanding of Private Equity fund documents including the offering documents to the Investor.
- Manage the onboarding of new funds and their completion in line with fund documentation.
- Manage work allocation among the team and ensure backup and BCP plans are in place.
- Manage and develop your direct reports within a growing team.
- Identify and implement process improvement techniques to improve process efficiency and team productivity.
- Managing the client relationships for the Funds and individually handle the deliverable requirements on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
- Liaising with Auditors on various requirements and ensure all supports are provided to the auditors to get the financials approved on the agreed timeline.
- Liaising with multiple stakeholders in the organization and ensure the tight deadlines are met.
- Develop customized reports on the accounting system to support the client requirements.
- Experience working in Fund Accounting, NAV calculation of Private Equity/Real Estate/Hybrid Funds.
- Team Management Experience and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Bank debt and loan debt instruments with other Private equity instruments.
- Good experience in handling client relationships and should be good in written and oral communication.
- Good conceptual knowledge in accounting principles and financial statement preparation.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in accounting for the financial services sector, particularly Private Equity, Asset Management or Fund Administration.
- Have experience in handling different life cycle stages of the Private Equity Structure.
- Experienced in reviewing and preparing general ledger and financial statements.
- Established knowledge relation to consolidations under IFRS.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
- A motivated, bright, and diligent individual who is driven to meet deadlines.
- A team player who can manage individual responsibilities.
- Sound judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
- User experience with enterprise accounting system(s).
