JOB DESCRIPTION

Headquartered in Singapore, ASCENT Group is an Independent Global Fund Administrator that provides a full range of fund administration services for Alternative funds such as Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital, Crypto Funds, VCC, Retail Estate Funds, etc., which include reviewing fund constitutional documents from an operational perspective, help setting up the structure, providing tax and accounting services for the funds including financial preparation and calculation of net asset value. We also provide investor services for the funds that include KYC review, onboarding, calculation of return, and distribution of statements. All books and records are maintained on a robust integrated platform. ASCENT Fund Services is one of the fastest-growing companies in the fund admin space with 9 offices in APAC and counting.

The candidate is responsible for the day-to-day duties of the team and ensuring client deliverables are met in a timely and correct manner. The Assistant Vice President must ensure adherence to Internal Transfer Agency procedures in addition to both internal and Regulatory AML requirements at all times

FUNCTIONS

Reporting to the Vice President or equivalent, you will be responsible for:

Fund Accounting Team

• Identify and Implement process improvements/system enhancements across the Transfer Agency Department.
• Monitor operational risk across the Business and assist with the enhancement of the existing operational risk framework.
• Assist in building out and training the current teams.
• Keep up to date on all Regulatory and internal Risk updates that impact the business ensuring the operations Teams have the necessary knowledge and systems in place to deal with the updates.
• Managing the oversight outsourcing for funds contracted from other jurisdictions Monitoring and enhancing the KRI metrics for the Department.
• Managing international client relationships
• Interacting with hedge fund principals and their investors
• Review, understand and have the ability to discuss fund governing documents with staff and clients.
• Responsible for all aspects of operations and controls functions: Processing subscriptions, redemptions, transfers and switches.
• Ensure control framework and documented Transfer Agency procedures and policies in line with regulations both locally and globally.
• Ensure all regulatory reporting Including FATCA and CRS (onshore and offshore) is delivered within the required timeframes.
• Providing periodic reports and feedback to senior management
• Participate in presentations for business opportunities from new and existing clients.
• Be responsible for change management where required including Ad hoc project management (as required)
• Assisting in the further development of new & existing global client relationships, optimizing service offerings, productivity and profitability

REQUIREMENTS

• 8+ plus years of proven experience managing an Investor Services/Transfer Agency team for alternative funds at a top tier institutional fund administrator.
• A very strong understanding of fund legal structures and the fund administration business.
• Should have very strong understanding of different Investor regulatory reporting and deadlines for the funds.
• Have experience booking capital activities for different type of fund structures.
• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to drive change.
• Knowledge of accounting, finance and investment concepts
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work with all levels within the organization.
