JOB DESCRIPTION

Headquartered in Singapore, ASCENT Group is an Independent Global Fund Administrator that provides a full range of fund administration services for Alternative funds such as Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital, Crypto Funds, VCC, Retail Estate Funds, etc., which include reviewing fund constitutional documents from an operational perspective, help setting up the structure, providing tax and accounting services for the funds including financial preparation and calculation of net asset value. We also provide investor services for the funds that include KYC review, onboarding, calculation of return, and distribution of statements. All books and records are maintained on a robust integrated platform. ASCENT Fund Services is one of the fastest-growing companies in the fund admin space with 9 offices in APAC and counting.

As a Cloud Specialist, you will work with a team of cross-functional developers, infrastructure engineers and security experts to promote a cloud-first architecture and implementations, effectively addressing governance and security challenges associated with running workloads on public clouds.

FUNCTIONS

Reporting to the Head of IT – APAC, or equivalent, you will be responsible for:

• Support multiple assets creation and migration to Microsoft Azure Platform.
• Define resolution for issues and risk mitigation strategy for project.
• Oversee the Azure Cloud platform team and facilitate communication across the organization.
• Provide hands-on technical and leadership, best practices, research and support, mentoring, and coaching for team members.
• Liaise with external vendors to accomplish design, implementation, and operation goals for the core
• Cloud services, such as network connection, identity service, landing zones, logging and monitoring.
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, Tech Risk, and Engineering and Operation teams to establish the cloud governance and operation procedures.
• Manage knowledge base for cloud best practices, standards and training materials.
• Review, approve and maintain the standard cloud native tools.
• Establish and operationalize consistent cloud migration procedure for on-premises systems
• Identify opportunities for cloud efficiency enhancement across the organization.
• Advise on cloud KPIs, metrics and SLAs to measure cost, performance and support baselines and track against standards and business requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Manage Information Science, Banking and Finance or equivalent
• Azure Cloud Certification is a must.
• Min. 6+ years of experience in an operational, management or services delivery role.
• Experience in MS Azure, PaaS, IaaS and iPaaS solution and has thorough understanding of Azure Services including migration concern.
• Well versed in Azure PaaS, Azure Networking, Storage and Security Services.
• Certification in Project Management, Technology Security or would be a plus.
• Able to multi-task in a challenging technical environment to deliver high quality solutions
• A meticulous team player who has proactive and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
