JOB DESCRIPTION

Headquartered in Singapore, ASCENT Group is an Independent Global Fund Administrator that provides a full range of fund administration services for Alternative funds such as Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital, Crypto Funds, VCC, Retail Estate Funds, etc., which include reviewing fund constitutional documents from an operational perspective, help setting up the structure, providing tax and accounting services for the funds including financial preparation and calculation of net asset value. We also provide investor services for the funds that include KYC review, onboarding, calculation of return, and distribution of statements. All books and records are maintained on a robust integrated platform. ASCENT Fund Services is one of the fastest-growing companies in the fund admin space with 9 offices in APAC and counting.

We are looking for a passionate and talented Data Scientist to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will have the chance to roll up your sleeves and apply the data methods to handle large amount of Hedge fund and digital asset data. Successful candidates will be helping the different offices to simplify and automate hedge fund data flows generated by our inhouse developers to our system.

FUNCTIONS

• Engagement and collaboration with globally deployed, multi-disciplinary teams to design and implement efficient, well-focused, statistically fit-for-purpose studies, analyse, visualize and interpret data, build and validate models and simulations
• Write clean, tested and well-structured python code.
• Work with senior team members to improve the functionality and efficiency of current systems and products.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand the business requirements and automate the manual processes.
• Good Communication skills.
• You will have first-hand exposure to the digital asset market and work on real world problems
• Enhancing our core products to scale with large data, handling complex problems and advanced client situations
• Work with our team on improvement of UX for both our Fund accounting Team and clients
• Using your problem-solving skills in a multicultural and creative environment
• Exposure to the different digital asset product in the digital asset market.

Requirements

• Proficiency in CS concepts like Data Structures, Algorithms and OOP’s.
• A portfolio on coding platforms like Hackerrank/codeforces/ leetcode/ interviewbit etc.,
• Strong hands-on knowledge using Pandas, Numpy and relevant libraries in Python.
• Good to have knowledge on Crypto’s CEFI, DEFI
• Good to have knowledge on cloud computing AWS/GCP/AZURE.
• Good to have knowledge on database like Mongodb etc.,
• Good to have knowledge on version control tools like Git, Bitbucket.
• Willing to work in a fast phased startup environment.
